Personality Tests

Here are some free tests that you can take to learn about different domains of your personality. These tests will provide insights into your personality traits (i.e., your automatic pattern of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors), vocational interests (i.e., what you want to do), and social, emotional, and behavioral (SEB) skills (e.g., how you see yourself as capable of thinking, feeling, and behaving when the situation calls for it). This hub is designed to give you an overview of different aspects of your personality.

BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS

A broad view of your personality. Assess your levels of:
  • Open-Mindedness: Creativity and curiosity
  • Conscientiousness: Organization and reliability
  • Extraversion: Sociability and assertiveness
  • Agreeableness: Cooperation and compassion
  • Neuroticism: Emotional stability

VOCATIONAL INTERESTS

How do your vocational interests compare to others? Are your interests more aligned with artistic, scientific, or business-oriented careers? This test allows you to compare your preferences to the interests of others who have taken the survey, giving you a clearer picture of how your strengths and passions align with different career paths. Explore your preferences for the following types of interests:
  • Realistic: Practical, hands-on activities 
  • Investigative: Analytic thinking and scientific interest 
  • Artistic: Creative expression
  • Social: Working with and helping others 
  • Enterprising: Leadership, persuasion and sales-oriented activities

SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS

A broad view of your skills. This is the complete version of the BESSI and measures the five major skill domains along with 32 specific facets. This test will assess your levels of the following skills:
  • Self-management skills: Effectively pursuing goals and completing tasks
  • Social engagement skills: Actively engage with others in one-on-one and group interactions
  • Cooperation skills: Maintaining positive, harmonious, and satisfying social relationships
